Company verification

Regulated numbers, without the paperwork chase.

Before regulated numbers in France or Belgium go live, the company behind them has to be verified. Send one secure link to the person who holds the paperwork. They enter the details, upload the documents, verify their identity and sign the contract online, without creating an account.

how it works

Verify the company behind your numbers online: one secure link, automatic checks, a signed contract, then OVOKY approves.

  1. One link

From OVOKY, email a signed link to the company's legal representative. They don't need an OVOKY account. In four steps they confirm the company details, upload the registration document and a utility bill, check their ID with a live selfie, and sign. You follow the status as the link is opened and submitted.

    • Signed link emailed to the representative, valid for 14 days
    • No account needed to fill it in
    • Resend the link, or revoke one sent to the wrong person
    • Status from sent and opened to approved
  2. Automatic checks

The VAT number is checked against the EU VIES service. French and Belgian companies are looked up in their national registries, and when a holding company is listed as director, the chain of officers is followed up to a named person. The utility bill is read by OCR and matched to the address, and the ID check confirms a live person whose name matches.

    • VAT check against VIES
    • French and Belgian registry lookups, with the officer chain
    • Utility bill read by OCR and matched to the company address
    • ID document, liveness and face match
  3. Contract and approval

The last step is a three-party contract between OVOKY, your company and the verified company, with an annex for the rules of the country concerned. It is read on screen and signed electronically in English, French or Dutch. OVOKY reviews the file and the check results, approves or rejects it, and the signer receives the countersigned contract.

    • Three-party contract with a France, Belgium or EU annex
    • Read and signed on screen in EN, FR or NL
    • Every step logged with time and IP address
    • Reviewed and approved by OVOKY

Company verification: questions

Short answers to what teams ask us most. Something else on your mind? Talk to us

  • Phone numbers in France and Belgium are assigned to an identified company. Verification collects the documents, identity check and contract this requires in one online flow, instead of an exchange of emails and attachments.

  • The company's legal representative, or the person who holds its paperwork and can sign for it. You send them a link from OVOKY. They do not need an OVOKY account.

  • A company registration document and a utility bill showing the address, plus an ID document and a live selfie taken during the identity check. The form also asks for the VAT number and, for French companies, the SIRET.

  • Registry checks cover France and Belgium. The VAT check works for EU companies. The contract has a detailed annex for France and Belgium, and a European or general annex for other countries.

  • Links stay valid for 14 days. After that, send a fresh link from OVOKY. You can also revoke a link at any time, for example if it went to the wrong person.
